Our November 6th featured the Legendary Schooner Fare
along with other special guests.

Schooner Fare
Schooner Fare has won unanimous critical praise over their 40 years for captivating harmonies and winning stage presence. Their 15 albums include traditional songs of North America, Ireland, and Britain. Numerous original songs on both contemporary and traditional themes, as well as topical songs, country ballads, and maritime masterpieces have made their name synonymous with the "Down East" style. Consummate entertainers, their energetic concerts are laced with a Maine brand of universal humor. Chuck and Steve combine their talents on six-string guitar, twelve-string guitar, and banjo to craft their distinctive vocal and instrumental arrangements. Read More...

Local Spotlight
Mark Mandeville & Raianne Richards

Mark Mandeville and Raianne Richards are clearly inheritors of a timeless legacy, creating music that is both original and evocative of a rich tradition. Blending distinctive voices and a wide range of accompaniment (guitar, harmonica, ukulele, clarinet, penny whistle, electric bass), their songs have been well-received by audiences around the eastern United States since 2010.Transcending the genre of folk Americana, their music echoes inspiration from traditional folk duos and singer/songwriters like Ian & Sylvia, Kate Wolf and Neil Young – combining beautiful harmonies and a lyrical intensity, while establishing a unique sound of their own.

Not For Sale: Finding Center in the Land of Crazy Horse is a unique iconoclastic memoir that traces one businessman’s journey deep into Indian country, and even deeper into his own soul. In a corporate world hallmarked by the never-ending quest for bigger, better, more, this CEO of one of America’s oldest family businesses contemplates an organizational structure where the goal is to do less, not more. In a 24/7 internet- wired world consumed with roles, responsibilities, and external accomplishments, Kevin learns to look inward for meaning and purpose.
Story Teller
Fred Marple

Fred Marple
Fred Marple is the unofficial spokesman for the town of Frost Heaves, the most under-appreciated town in New Hampshire. He’s on a one-man campaign to put Frost Heaves back on the map, since—as the town’s motto goes—you can’t get there from here. Fred—also known as humorist and songwriter Ken Sheldon—has appeared on New Hampshire Chronicle, in the pages of Yankee Magazine and New Hampshire Magazine, on radio, and in the viral Internet hit, "Yoga for Yankees."
Fred is a graduate of the Frost Heaves Academy and the East Coast School of Knife Sharpening and Carburetor Repair.
